Dumpster for moving or downsizing
Everything you don't move is something you don't pay to move. Clear it out before the boxes go on the truck.

Three weeks out
Walk every room and mark keep, sell, donate, toss. Book the container now.
Two weeks out
Haul donations and list what you're selling. Leave the toss pile where it is.
Container week
Fill it with the toss pile, old mattresses (if allowed) and broken furniture.
Moving day
Have it picked up before the movers come, or the day after they go.
Selling? A container in the drive during showings isn't ideal, so finish the purge before the listing photos. Buying a house that comes with someone else's leftovers? Book for the first week you have the keys.
Renters need the landlord's okay, and some leases spell out what has to leave with you.
Leaving or arriving in Davenport? The city's solid waste page has a form to start or stop garbage service for a move.

Which size for a downsizing move?
A 15 or 20-yard for most houses. Old sofas and mattresses take room fast.
Can the container stay after I've moved out?
Only if the new owner or landlord agrees. Most people set the pickup for moving day.
Got a pile and a date in mind?
One call reaches an independent dumpster rental company working the Davenport area. A rough idea of what's going in, and where the container can sit, is all you need to start.
Rent a roll-off
Have your street, the project and the week you want it ready. The rental company quotes size, drop-off date and price.
